With the rising demand of web designers and the surging importance of a website in today's world, it has become difficult and expensive to get yourself your very own piece of cyber real-estate. We, at freehand I/O addressed this problem and put in a lot of efforts to come up with a solution. We have built a platform that enables users to make their very own website (frontend) just by using a black sketch pen and a paper. Any person of any skill level can just refer the documentation and draw the outline of the desired webpage......and Voila!! our smart and highly customizable builds it.
Another exciting faclity we provide is we deliver the entire frontend code and it is completely Bootstrap compatible.
Our major concern at the beginning of the project was to make our sytem unnderstand and be able to detect hand drawn illustrations. For this we imposed certain restrictions and also trained the system with a lot of images in our dataset. This made the system to be able to detect the hand drawn sketches.
Another major hurdle was to preserve the ability to customize and generate the frontend code on the fly. After several days of thinking and hardwork, we were able to achieve our goal and successfully implement it.
Another issue we ran into was to avoid the use of any sort of database and make this project free of maintenance cost and make it entirely open source.
Hence we came up with ideas to avoid the use of database and rather uploaded the images to a third party free website and also made the website easy and open to use by everyone.
