More than just a game, it's a daily ritual that sparks conversation and friendly banter. Having grown organically with the platform, Framedl has become a vibrant hub and the perfect entry point for new casters to connect with a like-minded community.

The first big hurdle has been the introduction of OpenFrames standard. Framedl was originally built for Farcaster only, but OpenFrames made it possible to adopt other ecosystems (XMTP, Lens). The initial implementation didn't account for multiple identity providers and I didn't want to break it so I forked the original code and changed it to support XMTP too (Lens wasn't supported at the time). I have been running it successfully for a month or so when it was time to finally merge it which wasn't without its issues, but in the end I have successfully migrated to single codebase and have been running it that way since (more than a year ago).

With Frames support gone from Farcaster, I am now facing another hurdle when I need to support functionality that has only been present in the frames form factor (e.g. playing custom words or "arenas").
