Master the pattern. Command the forge.

The problem ForgeMasters solves

NFTs and tokens lack meaningful utility after purchase or airdrop, leading to low engagement and perceived value. Users often hold assets that serve no functional purpose beyond speculation or static display.

ForgeMasters introduces a fun, fast-paced mini-game to the developing SCOGÉ Universe, that gives real utility to NFTs and tokens. Players can combine existing assets to forge entirely new items with in-game value, turning passive ownership into active participation. This mini-game mechanic is designed to increase engagement, and makes digital assets feel dynamic and rewarding.

Challenges I ran into

The biggest challenge I faced was narrowing the scope of the project for the hackathon.

While there’s still a lot more to build, I chose to focus on the ForgeMasters mini-game and had to make tough decisions about which features to highlight. I didn’t have the bandwidth to fully implement both frontend and backend, so I prioritized the user-facing experience to best demonstrate the core mechanic. Since this mini-game is just one part of a larger game ecosystem, I also had to design new flows specifically for demo purposes—balancing clarity with functionality, without rushing critical backend transactions. My hope is that the polished frontend gives a clear sense of how the full product will operate once fully integrated. In the end, the toughest constraint was the deadline itself.

Unfortunately, I wasn’t able to produce an additional video specifically for the architecture overview due to time constraints. However, the core build is structured with vanilla JavaScript, HTML, and CSS, and integrates Thirdweb to interact with deployed contracts on Base mainnet.

Assets including NFTs and tokens are stored on-chain, and the game uses contract calls to manage ownership, combination, and minting logic within the ForgeMasters mini-game.

I've included links to the deployed contracts above, including the NFT contracts and the token that will be used within the game experience. While the full architecture video isn’t available, the frontend and contract interactions demonstrate the integrated system in motion.

Lastly, In the coming weeks more features will be added like sound, onsite marketplace, and minting and burning features when a player completes or fails a forge.
