The problem Forged App solves
Nowadays cyber crimes are happening all around the world , reaching to all the corners of the world . Photographs are manipulated and are used in a very improper way with bad intentions . Also, Forensic documents like Aadhar cards , driving license , pan cards etc are manipulated. And many more such forgery happen due to morphing of images.
Celebrities are nowadays trolled for the manipulated images by the memers or the fraudsters .
So, our team XIKEN.TECH has planned to build a platform which can detect forged images and also let people to be aware and this will definitely help to reduce cyber crimes .
Even on social media platforms, people use manipulated pictures to troll or to destroy someone's reputation, so our team has decided to build a Twitter bot where people can identify whether an image is morphed or not .
Challenges we ran into
Deep learning :
- The computation speed of deep learning model is very slow. So we deployed it in GPU to speed up the computation.
- MantraNet , the model we have used in our app , does not give what percent of pixels are morphed in image. So we write our own algorithm for this.
Social Media: - In social media, fake images spreads very fast. So to tackle this problem at initial stage, we made a twitter bot.
Website and App: - Having both website and app differently will cost more maintainance. To reduce the efforts, we used the latest technology called PWA(Progressive Web App).
