The problem Food Donation solves

In India approximately 40 % of the food produced is wasted . A huge amount of food is leftover in ceremonies such as Marriages , birthday parties , etc . This leftover food can be used to feed a large amount of people if properly managed. This app solves the above mentioned problem . This flutter app allows people to find organisations near them to which they can donate the leftover food items . The organisations can register themselves on the application , so that donors can find and request food pickups from the organisations . Users can search for the organisations near them and can easily donate the food items to the needy ones. This application connects the donors with the organisations so that the food is not wasted and can be used to fill the stomachs of the people who are hungry and have no means of earning. This Application is created keeping in mind how the food wastage can be minimised and how it can be properly utilised.

Challenges we ran into

Connecting the application to the backend database was a little difficult task. Constantly updating and adding data to the database was a little time consuming and needed more efforts than all the other parts of the application . Watching Youtube videos and learning how to work things out made it little easy for us.
