In general terms, the Flat-mate app addresses the problem of limited access to properties and hotels for potential buyers/renters, especially for those who are relocating to a new city or country. Traditional methods of property and hotel viewing often involve physically visiting multiple locations, which can be time-consuming, costly, and not always feasible, especially for individuals who are not local to the area. Additionally, traditional viewing methods which are digitally available may not provide an accurate representation of the property or hotel, leaving potential buyers/renters uncertain about their choice. Flat-mate solves these problems by providing an immersive and accurate augmented reality experience that allows users to explore different properties and hotel rooms remotely, providing a convenient and effective solution for both buyers/renters and sellers/property managers.
AR apps rely on tracking to anchor digital content to the real world, and ensuring that tracking is accurate and stable is one of the most head-aching issues than the resizing of the models to fit to be as real as possible to a real house or hotel which is for sale or available for rental.
The second major issue was handling the camera placement when the object is augmented in the real world which is to project the model around the user so that the user can experience the interiors of the architecture.
Finally, it was my first time creating a UI so I have to go through a lot of content learning the implementation of various aspects of UI color coding, and the features provided by Unity one of which is adding scroll and many more.
