Master any topic with bite-sized flashcards and interactive quizzes!
The problem Flashcards and Quiz generator solves
The flashcard app helps users learn and retain information efficiently by breaking down complex topics into easy-to-digest, bite-sized flashcards. It solves common study challenges by:
📚 Simplifying study sessions: Users can create personalized flashcards for any subject, making learning more engaging and focused.
⏱️ Maximizing retention: With spaced repetition and interactive quizzes, the app ensures users remember key information longer.
📝 Streamlining revision: Quickly review important concepts without sifting through lengthy notes.
🚀 Boosting productivity: Ideal for students, professionals, or anyone looking to master new skills faster and more effectively.
Challenges I ran into
One of the main challenges was maintaining the state and progress of the flashcards across page reloads. Initially, the flashcards reset every time the user navigated or refreshed the page, resulting in a frustrating experience.
How I solved it:
I implemented local storage to persist the state of flashcards locally, allowing users to continue where they left off.
Additionally, integrating Recoil for state management helped me efficiently track flashcard progress and updates without excessive re-renders.
Another challenge was creating a smooth and engaging UI for quizzes, which I overcame by using ShadCN UI components for a user experience.
Overall, these solutions made the app more robust and user-friendly!
