People can use it as a casual time-killer while also being part of an onchain experience.

It makes gaming more engaging by adding wallet-based identity, rewards, and verifiable score tracking.

Unlike traditional web2 games where progress and rewards are locked, here everything is transparent and onchain, giving users true ownership and making the game safer from manipulation.

It also serves as a fun entry point for new users into Base, lowering the barrier with a game they already understand but with web3 mechanics.

Challenges I ran into

State persistence: The hardest part was figuring out how to store game scores onchain without making transactions too expensive. We solved this by optimizing the contract functions and batching logic.

Latency issues: Since it’s a fast-paced game, syncing onchain actions with offchain gameplay had to be carefully managed. We used lightweight offchain logic for real-time play and only push final results onchain.

UI/UX hurdles: Making the game feel smooth while connecting wallets and handling transactions was tricky. We simplified the flow by caching sessions and preloading assets so users could jump right in.

Testing on Base: Debugging across Base testnet and mainnet required multiple iterations, but we automated deployments and added monitoring to streamline this.
