The problem Fission solves

Fission streamlines decentralized governance by introducing an autonomous AI Decision Agent that evaluates proposals through natural language understanding and futarchy signals. It reduces human overhead for analyzing complex decisions, provides transparent reasoning logs for accountability, and executes on-chain votes with specialized Solidity contracts. This results in more efficient, data-driven, and auditable governance processes, extending beyond simple DAO voting into fields like DeSAI (decentralized science) and broader ecosystem collaborations.

Challenges we ran into

• Hallucination & Accuracy: Ensuring the AI’s reasoning was consistent and factual required a robust benchmarking approach (G-Eval) to test coherence, transparency, and ambiguity handling.
• On-chain Integration: Implementing autonomous voting in Solidity introduced hurdles around security, gas efficiency, and contract design to safely delegate critical governance decisions to AI.
• Futarchy & Predictive Markets: Integrating real-time market indicators into an AI-driven decision flow required balancing model complexity with transaction delays and on-chain data availability.
