The problem Fire Tracker solves
The critical challenge in urban planning and fire station allocation involves precisely identifying high-risk fire zones within cities to optimize resource distribution and enhance public safety. This task is essential for preventing the inefficient clustering of firefighting resources in areas with low fire incidence, a common issue that strains municipal budgets and leaves high-risk areas underserved. Moreover, this approach aligns with smarter city planning, fostering urban development that accounts for fire risk factors. Consequently, cities can evolve into safer, more resilient environments better equipped for emergency management, thereby reducing potential losses.
Challenges we ran into
We encountered difficulties in locating an appropriate dummy dataset for longitudes and latitudes. Additionally, we faced challenges in exploring Plotly and choropleth as they were relatively newer technology to us.
