The problem FileForge LEGObot solves
In the case of "Automating File Organization and Information Extraction in Construction Project Packages," the problem it solves includes:
1)Disorganized Files: Construction documents are often scattered and stored with inconsistent naming conventions, making it difficult to locate specific files when needed.
2)Time Wasted Searching: Project teams spend excessive time searching for documents, impacting productivity and deadlines.
3)Limited Collaboration: Inconsistent file organization hinders effective communication and information sharing across teams, slowing down project progress.
4)Error-Prone Manual Processes: Manually labeling and organizing documents is prone to errors and inconsistencies, leading to potential mistakes and delays in construction projects.
The solution aims to automate the organization and extraction of information from construction files, ensuring quick access, improving collaboration, and reducing errors and inefficiencies in document management.
Challenges we ran into
Being first year students, we ran into quite a few problems that involved dealing with concepts we weren't quite established with. We faced 2 major issues:
1)ML : We aren't equipped with the concepts of Machine Learning and so we couldn't create the ML Model that would help the user find keywords to categorize and segregate the files.
