We wanted to reimagine learning—making it fun, engaging, and emotionally resonant. The idea of explaining abstract concepts through cute cat stories felt like the perfect mix of playfulness and depth. After all, who doesn’t love cats? 🐱

What it does

Felearn AI transforms complex concepts into adorable cat-themed visual stories.

• Students enter a concept they want explained.
• The AI generates a narrative with cat characters, paired with contextual illustrations.
• Users can save, organize, and export these stories into a library.
• Teachers and learners can use it as an interactive storytelling tool to reinforce learning in a way that’s both memorable and fun.

How we built it

• Frontend: React + TypeScript + Tailwind CSS for a clean, responsive UI.
• Animations: Framer Motion for smooth transitions.
• Backend: Appwrite for authentication, database, and file storage.
• AI: Google Gemini AI for generating stories + illustrations.
• Deployment: Vercel for lightning-fast hosting.

Challenges we ran into

• Generating cohesive story + image pairs required fine-tuning prompts.
• Balancing fun storytelling with educational accuracy was tricky.
• Implementing secure user management and PDF exports while keeping performance snappy.
