The problem FarmChain solves

It is a Farmer-Retailer-Consumer app with Blockchain based crop tracing system. For doing so it uses the power Blockchain. Every purchase and review is added to the Blockchain which later allows for a trackback.

Challenges we ran into

Our main challenge was developing a blockchain from scratch. We had to research exensively about how blockchains work and on what basic priniciple does it follow to finally be able to make one. We thought of using Ethereum initially but it isn't made for the tracking we wanted. For searching a record one needs to traverse all the transactions. This was another reason for building the blockchain from scratch.
