As crypto users, we love to discover what others are doing onchain and connect with & follow users with similar interests, this is one of the main use cases of being active on Web3 Social. We've built a low friction way to discover apps and broadcast when you're using an app using a gamified mechanic, similar to the popular Farcaster frame: YOINK (https://warpcast.com/horsefacts.eth/0x2dacf32d) but instead through a Browser Extension and with "stealing the DEGEN hat" as the mechanic to record activity.
To tackle the cold start problem, we onboarded users with a quiz, incentivising users to explore the Farcaster and Base ecosystems, selecting dApps and asking a quiz question for $DEGEN rewards for the top 5 scores, the questions are accessible on the interface of the dApp with the extension. We gamified the experience of using different apps and broadcasting about it by allowing users who sign in to Warpcast with our browser extension to "steal the hat" on a particular website.
We wanted to showcase some of the best experiments and apps on Farcaster, Base and Degen such as Yoink, FindMyKiller, Dune, Perl, Devcon, Brett, Alfafrens, Degen tips & Drakula. In some cases we required users to use certain protocols like Alfafrens and buying $BRETT to submit their answers to promote exciting things in the Base and Farcaster ecosystem.
With the Hat stealing game we're creating a Frame that will publish a user's Hat stealing activity and so users can look up their activity on different dApp frontends.
We realised that a simple quiz with $DEGEN rewards could be gamed by airdrop hunters and sybils who could repeat the quiz multiple times knowing the answers. We wanted to make sure we rewarded users who played the game correctly.
To create a sybil-resistant quiz, we implemented a couple of measures:

Cheering for a project means supporting a project you like with as little as 0.0025 ETH. Right now, you can Cheer using ETH on Arbitrum, Optimism and Base.
