The problem Farcaster Flow solves

Farcaster Flow is a token distribution solution built on top of Farcaster. With it, Token Onwers can easily create an offer named "Flow" and cast it for selling. Then, any Farcaster User can buy the tokens and share the offer to earn commission in his/her own information thread. The whole process is transparent and trustless.

Farcaster Flow creates a new channel for token owners to distribute their tokens on a platform which is for web3 only. At the same time, this creative token distribution solution provides a smooth “shopping experience” for all farcaster users. Without leaving farcaster, he/she can buy the tokens wanted. Embracing SocialFi, it opens a door for every one.

Challenges we ran into

1. Tracking the activity of facaster users.

   The first trial is to setup a farcaster hub and replicate the data to a DB with the replicator in farcast github repo. However, the replication is too slow. Finally, we solved it by the webhook feature from neynar.

2. Monitoring the ownership of tokens in the flow to make sure it is not change before any users pay for the flow. Otherwise, the flow will be maked as "Unavailable".

   Solved by a cron job for watching blockchain.

3. Token Transfer

   Solved by a DVP contract for it. Also, we are using MUD to save the all the datas including: blacklist and commissions.

4. Making sure all the DVP contract calls are from a Farcaster Flow frame server

   Solved by adding a signature verification in the contract methods to verify all the signature are signed by the frame server.
