Visually Impairment people face a lot of struggles in doing day to day work. A cane type traditional device is used by them for every small work. It is very difficult for blind people to carry the device where ever they go. So we are designing a hand held device. Since it is hand held device, the person holding it won't face any difficulty. When the user turns on the device, LIDAR sensor starts sensing the environment around the user. If any obstacle is detected, it notifies the user that any obstacle is detected. LIDAR sensor is interfaced with microcontroller arduino UNO. A speaker and an LED is connected at the output. If there is any obstacle the speaker gives audio output that there is something ahead. LED is used for the purpose of indicating even the neighbour at a certain distance of the blind person that the there is an obstacle for blind person. THD11 Temperature and humidity sensor is utilised for giving exact whether output for the user when push button is pressed. By this way we can help the Blind People to live happier.
Since a large voice data has to be stored we utilised a sd card module. A great challenge was faced by us during the interface of SD card module with Arduino UNO. While Interfacing the speaker at the output, noise was the major issue. We overcame it by using an Amplifier. A Wired headset can also be used inorder to reduce the noise.
