The problem FanTrace solves

In the evolving world of fan token economies, keeping up with the buying and selling activities of influential users can be challenging. Many Farcaster users want to stay informed about the fan token trades of accounts they follow but lack a streamlined way to track this activity.

FanTrace simplifies this process by:

• Transparent Trade History: Instead of manually searching for trade data across different platforms, FanTrace consolidates this information into a user-friendly interface, displaying each user's buy/sell activity.

Challenges I ran into

The main challenge while building FanTrace wasn't related to the core functionality itself but emerged when we explored expanding the feature set. We wanted to enable users to copy other users’ trades directly using Coinbase's Smart Wallet session keys. This would have allowed for seamless and automated trading based on the activity of users in their watchlist.
However, the latest update of the Coinbase Smart Wallet doesn’t yet support EIP-7715 ERC20-token-transfer policy. This means we can’t take automatic transfer approval for ERC20 tokens, which is essential for executing these copied trades. This hurdle has delayed the implementation of the feature, but we are actively working on integrating it once coinbase smart wallet supports it
