The problem Fake-News Detector solves

We plan to make a web-app which resolves the problem of being misled by the fake news especially during this quarantine period when there is so much panic among people. The app gives an option to search whether a news is fake or not based on trusted sources and WHO guidelines. Users can paste the exact link of news article or type in some key words related to the news that they have heard. Using the data provided by the user, our product will blink red light for a fake news and green for a real one.

Challenges we ran into

Our team members included experts of machine learning and frontend. Since we had to build a website, it required backend skills. The frontend experts developed the code of backend using YouTube tutorials in three days. It was difficult but helped build new skills which might help in the future.
This was our first time working on a website based on machine learning model and it took us a lot of time to work on how to integrate both the parts.
