FairLaunch
A Sybil-resistant, multi-chain meme coin and AI agent launchpad
The problem FairLaunch solves
The current landscape of memecoin and AI agent launchpads suffers from critical issues:
- Sniper Bots & Sybil Attacks – Bots exploit token launches, leading to unfair price inflation and rug pulls.
- Failure to Graduate – Many tokens die prematurely due to lack of organic growth.
- Chain Liquidity Limitations – Users need liquidity on the specific chain of the token launch to participate, making cross-chain accessibility difficult.
FairLaunch solves these problems by:
- Using Witness Chain for Sybil Resistance – Ensures that only real users participate in token launches.
- Implementing Cross-Chain Token Purchases – Allows users to buy tokens from any chain via Wormhole Native Token Transfers.
- Integrating Okto’s Embedded Wallet – Provides seamless, secure, and gas-efficient transactions without requiring external wallet setups.
- Leveraging Uniswap v4 Pools – Enables fair trading once a token reaches its graduation phase.
User Interaction and Data Flow
FairLaunch is built to provide a Sybil-resistant, fair, and decentralized way for users to launch and trade tokens without the risk of bot manipulation or unfair token distributions.
The process begins when a user creates a token campaign by providing details such as the token name, symbol, and description. To prevent Sybil attacks, the platform integrates Humanity Protocol and Zircuit, ensuring that only real individuals can launch or participate in token sales. This proof-of-personhood mechanism eliminates bots and automated snipers from exploiting the token launch.
Once a campaign is created, users can purchase tokens through a bonding curve mechanism, where the price dynamically adjusts based on supply and demand. Unlike traditional liquidity pools, this ensures that early buyers are not unfairly diluted, and no single entity can manipulate the market unfairly.
During this phase, the bonding curve gradually increases the token price as more users buy in. When the token reaches a specific adoption threshold, it "graduates" from the bonding curve and will, in future iterations, be migrated to a Uniswap v4 liquidity pool for open trading.
Throughout this lifecycle, users can track token supply, price, and their holdings directly through the FairLaunch interface. The platform also ensures that only verified wallets can participate in sales, preventing airdrop farming and malicious hoarding of supply.
The project architecture and development process
FairLaunch is a modular, scalable platform ensuring decentralization, security, and fairness in token launches. It prevents Sybil attacks, enhances transparency, and delivers a seamless user experience.
The frontend, built with Next.js and TypeScript, integrates RainbowKit and Wagmi for wallet connectivity, enabling users to create campaigns and trade tokens. An interactive bonding curve visualization aids real-time price understanding, with dynamic data updates via The Graph.
Smart contracts, written in Solidity, govern token creation, bonding curve mechanics, and Sybil resistance. The curve adjusts prices based on supply, ensuring fair price discovery. Anti-bot measures prevent sniping attacks and flash loan exploits, maintaining decentralization.
To verify participants, FairLaunch integrates Humanity Protocol for identity verification, blocking bots and Sybil attacks. Zircuit adds a privacy layer, securing user data while upholding decentralization.
For data tracking, The Graph indexes token campaigns, transactions, and supply changes in real-time, offering transparent insights into token ownership, distribution, and pricing.
Development began with research on launchpad issues, followed by smart contract creation with custom bonding curves and Sybil resistance. The frontend was developed with proof-of-personhood integrations, and extensive testnet trials ensured security and usability.
Future plans include integrating Uniswap v4 liquidity pools for post-launch trading, introducing community-driven governance, and expanding cross-chain support to enhance accessibility.
Product Integrations
FairLaunch integrates multiple decentralized services to ensure a secure, fair, and efficient token launch experience:
Humanity Protocol – Used for proof-of-personhood, preventing Sybil attacks and ensuring that only verified users participate in token sales.
Zircuit – Enhances security and privacy through zero-knowledge proofs, safeguarding user data while maintaining decentralization.
RainbowKit & Wagmi – Enables seamless multi-wallet support, allowing users to connect their wallets and interact with the platform easily.
The Graph – Provides real-time data indexing, ensuring accurate tracking of token supply, price changes, and campaign progress.
Ethers.js – Handles all on-chain interactions, from campaign creation to token trading, ensuring smooth blockchain communication.
Key differentiators and uniqueness of the project
FairLaunch stands out by solving key issues present in existing token launchpads:
- Sybil Resistance: Unlike traditional launchpads prone to bot-driven sniping, FairLaunch integrates Humanity Protocol to ensure that only verified individuals can participate.
- Secure & Private: The use of Zircuit’s privacy layer ensures user data is protected while maintaining a decentralized model.
- Real-time Bonding Curve Pricing: The platform implements a dynamic bonding curve, ensuring fair price discovery and preventing price manipulation.
- Gradual Token Graduation: Tokens can only transition to Uniswap v4 liquidity pools once they reach a certain adoption threshold, reducing early-stage volatility.
Trade-offs and shortcuts while building
To deliver a functional prototype within the BUIDLathon timeframe, we had to make several trade-offs:
- Skipped Full Uniswap v4 Integration: While we plan to support Uniswap v4 liquidity pools in the future, the current focus is on bonding curve mechanics for token sales.
- Simplified Bonding Curve Model: For the Proof-of-Concept (PoC), we implemented a basic bonding curve instead of a more complex adaptive model, which will be optimized post-launch.
- Single-Chain Deployment: The current version runs on a single testnet, with multi-chain support planned in future iterations.
Additional Features
- Full Integration with Humanity Protocol: Implemented proof-of-personhood verification to ensure fair participation.
- Zircuit Security Layer: Added ZK-based privacy features, enhancing security for user interactions.
- Live Bonding Curve Visualization: Developed an interactive UI that dynamically updates token prices based on supply changes.
- Improved Holder Distribution Tracking: Integrated The Graph to index and display token holder distributions in real-time.
