The problem Fact Finder solves
Utilizing advanced algorithms and data analysis techniques, it compares claims against verified sources, expert opinions, and credible data points. By cross-referencing information from multiple reliable sources, the Fact Finder determines the validity of statements, identifying inaccuracies or misinformation.
Through its systematic approach, the Fact Finder enhances media literacy and critical thinking skills, empowering individuals to make informed judgments about the information they encounter. Whether scrutinizing news articles, social media posts, or public statements, this tool serves as a bulwark against misinformation, promoting a more accurate understanding of the world.
Challenges we ran into
During the development of the Fact Finder project, we encountered a significant hurdle related to the integration of multiple data sources and ensuring real-time accuracy of information. This challenge stemmed from the dynamic nature of news and facts, which require constant updates and verification against evolving events.
However, one specific bug we faced was related to the synchronization of data from different sources, leading to inconsistencies in the results displayed to users. This issue arose due to variations in data formats and update frequencies across the integrated platforms.
