The problem FACE MARK solves
The system simplifies attendance tracking in schools using advanced biometrics. It automates the cumbersome task of manual attendance, reducing errors and saving time for both teachers and administrators. The integration of fingerprint and facial recognition ensures secure and accurate identification of students, enhancing safety. Parents receive instant notifications of their child's absence, promoting quick communication and allowing them to provide reasons dynamically. The web dashboard enables teachers to effortlessly monitor attendance trends, contributing to efficient class management. Overall, the solution not only streamlines administrative processes but also fosters a safer and more transparent communication channel between schools and parents.
Challenges we ran into
While developing our Flutter application, we encountered challenges in seamlessly integrating different pages. Resolving this required meticulous debugging and refining the codebase to ensure smooth transitions between interactive components.
Authentication issues arose during the implementation of the WiFi login feature. As our app operates within a specific range, integrating the nodemon WiFi module for triggering the app presented difficulties. We addressed this hurdle by closely examining the authentication flow, refining the WiFi module integration, and conducting extensive testing to ensure reliable connectivity within the designated range.
Throughout the development process, collaboration and thorough testing were crucial in overcoming these challenges. By combining effective debugging strategies and refining authentication processes, we successfully addressed the hurdles and achieved a cohesive and functional application.
