The problem EYE-CONTROLLED VIRTUAL MOUSE FOR LIMBLESS PEOPLE solves

As per 2021 census in India 3.8 crore people are disabled , out of them 1.04 crore people are limbless.The scope of the project is to help the limbless people and hand paralyzed people to interact with the computer and they can do their jobs like all mouse functions with their head and eye movements, typing with their voice command. It makes them independent without depending on others for the computer tasks like online shopping,browsing, ticket booking, digital marketing etc. limbless people people’s life is going to change from sitting idle and depending on others to doing their regular tasks, even jobs, and making them independent in their lives.Available alternatives cannot provide all the operations in a single extent.Each one them is limited ton specific areas.We integrated all in a single channel. Existing are Voice Assistant, Hand Gesture Recognition, Wearable Keyboard & Mouse.

Challenges we ran into

Firstly, we wanted to do only a virtual mouse whose functions were based on our head movements like moving head towards right then the cursor moves towards right, moving head towards left indicates the cursor to move towards left, left click through was done through left eye blink and right click through right eye blink. Completing this was a herculean task. With sleepless nights, a schedule made us to complete the virtual mouse by eye and head movements. But it seems to be incomplete for us in controlling computer or pc. The challenges we noticed were how the limbless person can able to type? He/she might be able to do mouse operations by head movements, but not typing.So we made it possible in a simpler manner by converting their speech to text. This is the extra and new feature we have added. By this when the cursor is placed in Microsoft word / notepad by his/her speech the words were typed. Even google search also possible.
