The problem EventsWale solves
"EventsWale" is here to solve a common yet often messy problem we all face: finding and organizing educational events, without the hassle. If you’re a student, professional, or just someone who loves to learn and network, you’ve likely had that experience of searching endlessly for a workshop, hackathon, or seminar that actually fits your interests, schedule, and location. And even when you do find something, you then have to dig around for all the details, register, remember to attend, and somehow keep track of it for later. It’s a time-wasting cycle, and if you’re on the organizing end, it’s just as challenging to get your event the visibility and engagement it deserves.
EventsWale! We make everything about educational events super easy and organized. The platform is designed so that users can browse a variety of events in a simple, structured format. Forget chaotic spreadsheets, word-of-mouth alerts, and scattered posts—here, everything is neatly laid out. Events are categorized by type (hackathons, seminars, workshops), and you can filter them by date, region, or even specific domains like IoT, AI, Web3, and blockchain. Challenges we ran into
One of our biggest challenge while building EventsWale was figuring out how to keep adding events automatically without breaking a sweat and managing all the data that comes with it for the long haul. Imagine the info we gather for just one event—things like the name, location, date, time, host, registration links, and even attendee details.
We wanted things to run as smoothly as possible, so automating the event-adding process was a must. Instead of having to add each event manually, we needed a system that could pull in new events on its own, verify the details, and list them with all the correct info. But this wasn’t easy! We had to set up filters and checks to make sure no irrelevant or duplicate events slipped in and that all the details made sense.
Then came the real challenge: storing all that data. We knew users would want to check back on old events or save reviews for future reference, which meant we had to keep everything accessible over time. But with so much data piling up, there’s a risk it could slow things down. To avoid that, we spent time tweaking our storage setup, using caching, and making sure our databases were optimized to handle all the event info without a hitch.
