The problem Event Management System solves

The event management system solves the problem of inefficient and cumbersome event organization and registration at PDA College Of Engineering. Prior to the implementation of our system, event management tasks were often time-consuming and required manual tracking and communication between faculty and students. Our system streamlines this process by providing a user-friendly platform for faculty to manage events and track registered students, as well as an easy-to-use app for students to browse and register for events.

With our system, faculty can quickly add events and access important information such as registered student lists, all in one place. Meanwhile, students can easily view and register for events, eliminating the need for paper sign-ups or manual tracking. By simplifying the event management process, our system saves time, reduces errors, and enhances the overall event experience for all involved. Overall, our event management system improves communication, organization, and efficiency at PDA College Of Engineering.

Challenges I ran into

We did run into a specific bug while building our event management system. We encountered a problem where the faculty app was not correctly updating the registered student list, which led to discrepancies and confusion during event registration. After troubleshooting, we discovered that the issue was due to a minor error in the backend code.

To solve this problem, we worked together as a team to carefully analyze the code and identify the error. Once we located the issue, we were able to quickly correct it and thoroughly test the solution to ensure it was working correctly. We also implemented additional testing procedures moving forward to catch any similar issues early on.

This experience taught us the importance of thorough testing and collaboration when working on complex projects. It also highlighted the value of persistence and problem-solving skills in the face of challenges. Ultimately, by working together and staying focused, we were able to overcome this hurdle and deliver a successful project.
