The problem EthucVest solves
EthucVest empowers communities to securely fund and govern projects with transparency through Ethereum's smart contracts. By allowing backers to participate in funding while retaining oversight through governance tokens, EthucVest ensures funds are used responsibly and according to community-approved milestones. This reduces the risk of fund mismanagement and increases trust in funding campaigns. Additionally, it provides a decentralized solution to streamline project backing, eliminates intermediaries, and enables global participation in supporting innovations and causes.
Challenges I ran into
A significant challenge was integrating Ethereum's Web3 functions with our frontend to facilitate wallet connection, token transfer, and on-chain voting securely. Specifically, the wallet connection with MetaMask initially faced issues with detecting connected accounts and prompting re-authentication. We solved this by implementing fallback options and optimizing the transaction processing time, which involved refining the smart contract functions to handle user requests more efficiently.
