I’m participating in Based India because, as an Indian, I see a significant opportunity to make blockchain more accessible to everyone. One major barrier to entry is the need for Ether to pay for gas fees, which often deters new users from engaging with blockchain technology. By helping to facilitate easier onboarding, we can empower more people to explore and utilize blockchain applications.
Additionally, for advertisers, lowering transaction costs will make it cheaper to display ads, fostering a more vibrant ecosystem. This dual approach not only enhances user experience but also encourages more businesses to participate, driving growth and innovation within the Indian blockchain community. We are proud to represent BlocSoc IITR, a highly reputed club, in this mission to transform the blockchain landscape in India.
High Gas Fees: One of the most significant barriers for new users entering the blockchain space is the high cost of gas fees. By finding ways to subsidize or eliminate these costs, we can make it easier for individuals to engage with blockchain applications.
Accessibility and Onboarding: Ensuring that the onboarding process is straightforward and user-friendly is crucial. I’m working on solutions that simplify account creation, transaction processes, and general interaction with blockchain platforms.
Advertiser Engagement: For advertisers, high transaction costs can limit their ability to effectively utilize blockchain for ad placements. I’m focused on creating a more cost-effective environment that attracts advertisers and enhances their return on investment.
Gas Fee Solutions: By introducing a system that pays users' gas fees in exchange for watching ads, we directly tackle the issue of high transaction costs. This not only lowers the barrier to entry for new users but also incentivizes their participation in the blockchain ecosystem.
Streamlined Onboarding: Our submission includes user-friendly onboarding processes that simplify account creation and transactions. By ensuring that new users can easily navigate the platform, we enhance accessibility and encourage engagement.
Building an SDK: We plan on building an SDK that can be easily integrated by other blockchain applications, allowing them to onboard more users effortlessly. This will expand our reach and create a network of apps benefiting from our gas fee solution.
Cost-Effective Advertising: By lowering transaction costs for advertisers through our platform, we create an attractive environment for ad placements. This benefits both advertisers and users, as more businesses will be willing to invest in blockchain advertising, ultimately increasing opportunities for engagement.
Incorporating Account Abstraction: One of the major challenges we faced was the difficulty of incorporating account abstraction into our system. This concept is complex and required us to rethink our architecture to ensure a seamless user experience.
Translation to JavaScript: To effectively integrate our backend functionalities with the frontend, we utilized Foundry for development. This necessitated translating our entire script into JavaScript, which was a time-consuming process. Ensuring that the translation maintained the original logic and performance was critical.
Ad Generation Logic: Another challenge was determining the logic for generating and displaying ads. We had to develop a robust algorithm that considers user preferences, engagement levels, and advertiser requirements to ensure relevant ads are shown while maximizing user engagement.
Cheering for a project means supporting a project you like with as little as 0.0025 ETH. Right now, you can Cheer using ETH on Arbitrum, Optimism and Base.
