Our Aim: No graduate in their respective fields should be unemployed! Design and implement a web portal which will predict employement from the placement statistics in engineering and related fields.
The problem ERRORISTS solves
The main objective of our problem statement is :
• It helps the user to find job easier and without any hassle, they will be able to stay in their native place. It targets users
from educational institutions and students.
• To show the trends in future of jobs available and admissions into college in a region using neural networks.
• We approached the problem using supply and management approach which is implemented using neural networks. Main
motive that resource which are jobs, seats and students are never in excess and never in deficit.
• Aiming to create academic facility in the right quantity, in the right time, so that we can extract the complete economic
value of a graduate.
• For demonstration purpose, we chose some target areas and used limited number of parameters.
• We did case study of those areas and got the expected outputs. These results can later be generalised to a very large
area, even to the scale of countries, provided we get the required data.
• The data used in the creating this project is synthetic which was made after a complete experimentation and research of
the area. The credibility of data lies in the fact that all the values and parameters chosen are taken from valid sources
which includes annual report of colleges and companies, cagr of companies etc. The working of this project depends
upon the quality and availibility of data.
Challenges we ran into
Indians graduates from diverse backgrounds and with diversity in education. Almost similar number of
students enter into colleges for taking various education to help them in seeking jobs. With the advent
of time technology and the requirement of job sector has changed drastically as compared to 10 years
back. Many sectors have experienced tremendous growth in employment and thus masses opt for
those sectors whereas in many sectors there is huge unemployment either due to low jobs availability
or demand of skilled workers is required. Thinking of the each and every branch and when comparing
it with the current employment in India and abroad, we will definitely find some points that will help in
predicting the admissions and jobs scenarios in the fields of engineering and technology,
management and pharmacy.
The main challenges we faced during the ideation are:
• Predicting factor for different age groups is difficult due to lack of data.
• Fees of the institution, Infrastructure, Distance from capital city and industrial clusters, Last year placement.
FEATURES OF THE WEBSITE:
• The upper tab has following links- Home, About us, Project description, Company log in and contact.
• User prompted to enter location where jobs and admission has to be predicted.
• Test locations – Gujarat, Chhattisgarh, Delhi, Karnataka
• On choosing a location, three graphs displayed the admission trends in these three fields.
• Next prompt asks user to enter the domain- engineering, pharmacy or management.
• Next prompt asks user to enter further specific sub divisions.
• Variation in the trend of admissions is predicted in the upcoming years.
• Prediction of employment in the upcoming years is displayed.
