The problem E-Ration System solves

In traditional Public Foodgrain Distribution system of our country, we saw many bogus cards like shopkeepers were selling government alloted ration in open market at market prices which are much above they get for government prices. Shopkeepers also often indulge in malpractices like blackmarketing of food grains. By implementation of our project, this whole system would become more transparent to the consumers. It also provides an online feedback mechanism for the cardholder in which he/she can give his/her feedback directly to the goverment based on his/her experience at a particular ration shop. As the shopkeeper would have to provide shop opening/closing times, his/her phone number, it would also be much easier for the cardholder to go to collect his/her ration at a preferable time.

Challenges we ran into

While making this project, the stock update by the shopkeeper was also accepting negative values, we overcame it by using a positive constraint in our sql database.
