Eliminating unconscious bias in the hiring process

The problem Equalie solves

Companies are working hard to reduce bias in the hiring process. However, eliminating unconscious bias is hard as the human brain tends to categorize people and things naturally. From a report, white job applicants were found to have a higher chance of success (74%) than ethnic minority applicants with identical CVs.

In light of this, we would like to create a blind interview plugin for video conferencing tools such as zoom, and replace applicants' voices and video images with the same avatar and voice.

Challenges we ran into

Time zone was a challenge, as we have 3 different time zones and some not all developers are awake at the same time. However, we are able to overcome this by effective communication, and planning.
