Epic NFTs is a marketplace where artists can showcase their art and sell. Fans can buy their favorite artists' NFTs and resell them.
The problem Epic NFTs solves
Blockchain: Since the project is built on blockchain, it comes with all benefits of blockchain. immutable, fully decentralized, and secure.
Transparency: There is no separate backend to process the requests coming from the blockchain. Everything visible on the website is coming directly from the blockchain. The entire project code is published on GitHub.
Fees and speed: Since the project is hosted on Polygon, transaction costs are very low and transactions are significantly faster than Ethereum.
Challenges we ran into
Prior to this hackathon, I have zero knowledge of React and minimal knowledge of javascript. I learned as I build the project.
I wanted to implement a feature that shows all ERC721 NFTs owned by a user. It was very difficult to implement. Finally, got to know about alchemy NFT API which made this feature implementation pretty easy.
