The problem ENSoundS solves

We introduce "musical avatars" to ENS names.

Blockchain was too quiet for us. So we decided to give voice to the interactions between users there.

• hear the hubbub of what is currently happening on the chain
• listen to the chime while finalizing your transaction: from me to whom

Challenges we ran into

The whole project was the challenge. In the beginning, we set up several axioms for our sound generator:
a) each name has unique melody
b) final sound is recognizable as ENS name while allowing tweakable aspects

ENS names can be made with almost any UTF-8 character so the number of possibilities is enormous. Jush hashing the names for the generator would not ensure the uniqueness, we had to use different type of data: nibbles...
