Be it an ordinary college student or a professional photographer, image editing and enhancement is an essential tool for everyone Nowadays the image editors available on the internet are very tedious and many professional softwares are not at all beginner friendly. Our team aims to solve these problems by our flagship project, the EnhanceAI. Ease-of-accessibility and hassle free workflow are our core principles upon which we have built our entire ecosystem. In EnhanceAI, we provide our users with multiple tools and features for all their needs, for amateurs and professionals alike. We provide revolutionary and state of the art features like auto image enhancement, low-light image enhancement and image upscaling through AI along with a variety of other functionalities including a library of filters and manual image editing.
Throughout the course of the hackathon, we came across numerous hurdles and challenges that we had to overcome. Our team aimed to implement Convolutional neural networks to power our AI for tasks such as low-light enhancement and image upscaling. We also used computer vision to power our auto-editing features. Implementing these heavy features on our web host proved to be quite a challenge as our local server was unable to handle such a heavy load, so we had to find a workaround for it without compromising our website as well as an algorithm. Editing images through computer vision was not easy as many parameters had to be defined and it turned out not to be too user-friendly, to counter that we had to tweak our algorithm to suit our end-users needs without diluting our functionality.
Over the course of these 24 hours, we made a lot of mistakes and from them, we took away numerous essential lessons that will help us in our future and make us better programmers.
