The problem EnergyLo solves

  1. During the initial months, renewable energy is more expensive than non-renewable energy, leading to lower adoption rates of renewable energy sources.
  2. Consumers have only one choice for purchase i.e.through the monopoly of the current providers and there is no choice of price.
  3. Statistics shows that the people who have choosen to harness renewable energy, have a sigficant amount of surplus energy, which gets wasted everyday.

Challenges we ran into

Figuring out the network architecture and finding ways to implement the same using blockchain was one of the most time consuming process .Writing the transactions on the polygon network and managing the smart meter logic were the biggest challenges we faced. Apart from these figuring out the network architecture was very difficult. We have solved these problems to the best of our caliber.
