The problem Encoteki solves
Indonesia has multiple environmental and community issues, ranging from endangered animals to broader environmental concerns. However, we must also focus on building rural communities to improve the lives of their residents. In addition to these issues, the market is oversaturated with non-value-adding NFTs and too many loyalty programs.
Encoteki offers tangible and transparent impacts on the environment and local communities. Encoteki NFT holders can enjoy real-world benefits and utilities, such as discounts or special prices when transacting at Encoteki subsidiaries or SME partners all over Indonesia, dividends from Encoteki subsidiaries, access to the DAO, and much more.
SME partners will also gain exposure and earn royalties from Encoteki NFT transactions. In addition to NFTs, Encoteki subsidiaries are dedicated to sustainability and the community. Through collaborations with SMEs and subsidiaries, we create a comprehensive approach to sustainability, resulting in a win-win situation for everyone involved and a lasting impact.
Challenges I ran into
As a solo developer on this project, one of the major challenges I faced was balancing the need to deepen my understanding of the HAQQ Network, both in terms of its technological framework and its broader vision and mission. The learning curve was steep, especially with the limited documentation available for specific tasks I needed to accomplish.
Additionally, many reference contracts in the HAQQ development environment were not verified, making it difficult to understand the underlying code. To overcome this, I adapted similar code from other blockchain networks and modified it to fit the HAQQ Network's requirements.
I also encountered issues while trying to integrate with the local NFT market (Bazaar Art), which is currently inaccessible. Moreover, I attempted to find a testnet for the HAQQ Wallet to enable integration, but was unable to locate one. As a workaround, I ensured that the DApp remains open for connections via Ethereum-based wallets, successfully testing it with MetaMask and Trust Wallet.
