The problem Enact - Speech to Sign language conversion solves
The lack of accessible and reliable communication tools poses a significant challenge for individuals who are deaf, hindering their ability to effectively nteract with others. Existing solutions often fall short of providing real-time, accurate, and culturally appropriate translations between written language and sign language, leading to communication barriers and frustrations for both deaf individuals and their hearing counterparts.
Challenges we ran into
We ran into many problems like getting the dataset as it was hard to get for WSL, also everything was in video, so converting every video into gifs and resizing them into same images. And doing the voice recognition and connecting to the other back end codes.
