In the face of escalating pollution levels in urban areas, our hackathon project aims to address the pressing challenge of controlling pollution effectively. Traditional methods such as tree plantation, while valuable, often require substantial time, space, and ongoing care to yield significant results. With 99.82% of the global land area exposed to hazardous PM 2.5 levels, and alarming statistics from the World Health Organization indicating that approximately 7 million lives are lost annually due to air pollution, urgent action is imperative. This is particularly poignant in regions like the National Capital Territory of Delhi, where pollution is drastically shortening life expectancies by an average of 11.9 years. Our project seeks innovative solutions that harness technology to combat pollution in urban environments swiftly and efficiently, ensuring healthier and more sustainable living conditions for all.
