The problem EduWiz solves

1. Custom Study Plan - Generating a customized study plan based on user preferences like time of day the user prefers to study and the subject distribution over one day.
2. Handpicked resources - Generating handpicked resources using web crawlers to get 1000 youtube videos related to a topic and recommending top 2 videos based on user preferences like duration and concept detail
3. Notes - Generating notes based on the NCERT textbook in a concise and informative way focusing on user preferences like duration and concept depth
4. Quiz - Multiple quiz interfaces and custom mode test for users to keep revising the concepts they studied
5. Lecture summarization - Enabling users to record lectures using our application and summarizing them for faster understanding
6. NCERT Retrieval Augmented Generation - LLMs have knowledge on a wide range of topics and the knowledge is limited to public data. We have specialized it on NCERT books data which will augment the knowledge of the model with the specific NCERT knowledge.

Challenges we ran into

Scaling for different boards and classes: Currently we cater to only CBSE 12th grade but we plan to scale the application to include all classes across boards
Accommodating Different types of Learners: Our app will have a quiz to recognize the method of learning that suits the user (audio, visual, note-taking) and customize the study resources accordingly
Accommodating underprivileged kids: A lot of underprivileged kids have to drop out of school due to family constraints. Our platform will have a separate interface for such kids where they can learn interactively
Visual-based Learning: Our application will generate videos based on the summary generated in the famous reel format where images linked to the content will be displayed in the background while text is being read aloud
Customer feedback: Take input from the users to analyze what we can do better.
Report generation: Weekly reports of the users activity including quiz marks, current progress etc will be generated for analysis and understanding where the user need help.
