EduStake addresses several key problems in the current landscape of online education and blockchain technology:
1.BootCamp Creation Simplified:
Organizers face challenges in launching BootCamps due to technical and logistical hurdles, particularly when trying to integrate blockchain features. EduStake offers a no-code platform for BootCamp organizers, making it easy to create and manage blockchain-enabled courses without needing extensive technical knowledge. This empowers educators to focus on delivering quality content rather than dealing with complex technology.
2.Flexible Payment Options:
Not all students can afford upfront payments for courses, and not all BootCamps can operate for free. EduStake offers three flexible payment options: free, stake, and paid. This variety allows students from different financial backgrounds to participate in BootCamps. For instance, staking allows students to get back their payment after passing all criteria set by the BootCamp author, offering a more inclusive educational environment.
3.Secure and Decentralized User Management:
Traditional education platforms often rely on centralized databases, which can be vulnerable to breaches and censorship. Users also struggle with managing multiple logins across different services. EduStake uses WalletConnect, Safe, and Magic for decentralized, secure, and simplified user authentication. This ensures that users can easily sign up and log in with their email, protecting their privacy and data while maintaining the convenience of traditional login systems.
One of the significant challenges we encountered was integrating Coinbase Onramp to enable seamless fiat-to-crypto conversion for students new to the crypto space. Initially, the process of obtaining the Coinbase API key proved to be more complex and time-consuming than anticipated due to our region. but we were able to navigate our way through.
