EduBase
Proof of work, made smart
The problem EduBase solves
EduBase addresses the critical need for verifiable, transparent skill validation in educational and professional settings by leveraging blockchain technology and AI. Traditional methods of tracking student progress, experiment progress often lack credibility and accessibility, relying on centralized systems prone to errors or fraud.
EduBase solves this by enabling educators to create cohorts(or courses, experiments), form work groups, and track progress, issuing tamper-proof attestations on Base Sepolia when objectives are met. Integrated AI analysis provides actionable insights into team performance, improving on existing solutions by offering a decentralized, trustworthy, and data-driven approach to skill certification. This empowers students and educators with a reliable, modern framework for collaboration and achievement recognition
Challenges I ran into
One of the main challenges I faced was understanding the documentation. Since I’m not a developer, many of the concepts and functionalities were new to me, which led to repeating the same errors multiple times while trying to deploy and run the app. I struggled to understand the structure of the project, the order of execution, and how to interpret the error messages in the terminal.
A particularly frustrating issue was my inability to create an attestation on Base Sepolia due to problems with API keys and library compatibility. I explored numerous GitHub repositories, watched YouTube tutorials, and ran the project locally but working on a Windows machine caused additional issues with JSON packages, APIs, and certain command-line tools.
Despite all this, I pushed through. Base Platforms and AI's like Replit, Grok, Ohara and ChatGPT helped me understand folder structure, which files could be edited, and which ones were critical to the framework. It was a real journey full of errors, retries, and learning but in the end, it helped me build a stronger foundation and move forward with more confidence.
