Challenges we ran into

Here are the challenges of building EcoMint in simple points:

  • Time constraints: building the entire platform in just 24 hours

  • Technical challenges:

    • Deploying smart contracts on Polygon Amoy
    • Ensuring smooth NFT minting and trading and splitting of contracts
    • Maintaining an eco-friendly approach with minimal carbon impact
      • Maintaining the leaderboard and fetching it form web3 network

  • Creating a user-friendly interface that appeals to both crypto enthusiasts and newcomers

  • Ensuring scalability and performance to handle high transaction volumes

  • Donation compliance and transparency:

    • Ensuring secure fund distribution to environmental NGOs
    • Implementing geotagging for tracking donations

  • Integrating multiple technologies:

    • AI models (Flux Schnell, Groq) for chatbot as well as automatic detection of plants from image for its details
    • Blockchain

Despite these challenges, EcoMint was successfully built to bridge Web3 with sustainability and make NFT trading a force for real-world environmental impact.
