The problem EcoChain solves
EcoChain addresses the need for transparency and incentivization in environmental sustainability efforts. People can use EcoChain to track and verify their eco-friendly actions, such as recycling, tree planting, and reducing carbon footprints. By using blockchain technology, EcoChain ensures that all recorded activities are tamper-proof and transparent. Additionally, users are rewarded with tokens for their contributions, which can be redeemed for eco-friendly products and services. This makes environmental efforts more rewarding, trustworthy, and engaging for individuals and organizations.
Challenges I ran into
One of the main challenges encountered during the development of EcoChain was ensuring the security and scalability of the blockchain network. Initially, the network experienced latency issues due to high transaction volumes. To overcome this, we integrated layer-2 scaling solutions, which significantly improved transaction speeds and reduced costs.
