DYLI is the all-in-one platform for creating, collecting, and trading digital warrants for physical products 👍

The problem DYLI solves

The streetwear and collectibles markets are dispersed and challenges with authentication on both primary and secondary markets remain unsolved. For both collectors and creators, it can be hard to even know who is dropping what when. A dedicated market will not only simplify collecting but help creators manage and grow their collector base:

Collectors want to shop with ease and with confidence in the authenticity and quality of the products they collect. Additionally, speculators struggle with inventory and secondary markets.

Creators and designers must deal with confirming authenticity on primary & secondary markets, managing production and inventory of products. They also struggle to collect royalties on secondary markets.

DYLI helps creators and collectors do what they love:

Discovering creators and products is easy. Our Marketplace allows users to search by product, categories, or creators to find exactly what they are looking for or find something new.

Buy products that are guaranteed authentic by purchasing from primary & secondary in one place. Buying our digital warrants is as easy as buying on Amazon, but gives collectors the flexibility to resell or redeem instantly. Read more: https://docs.dyli.io/core-features/marketplace

Creators can create/manage drops without the need for a broader storefront or sales infrastructure. Anyone can go from idea to product using our in-house production and drop pages (This is not live yet. Creators currently need to apply to drop).

Everyone gets rewarded for doing what they love. Create, collect, resell, redeem. Whatever you do on DYLI get you points to unlock access and rewards. Read more: https://docs.dyli.io/core-features/dyli-diamonds

NOTE: The DYLI demo uses fake products and fake accounts for demonstration purposes.

Challenges we ran into

On-Ramps and Off Ramps: Finding the optimal way for users to deposit USDC from their bank accounts or credit/debit cards to their DYLI accounts, and effortlessly withdraw those funds back to their bank accounts, was a significant challenge. We explored numerous on and off-ramp solutions and held extensive discussions with various teams. Ultimately, we chose Coinbase Pay. This solution allows users to deposit directly on Base with crypto or use Coinbase Pay to deposit USDC from their Coinbase account or via guest checkout, with a weekly limit of $500. We are also exploring the new partnership between Stripe and Coinbase for onramps. However, jurisdictional issues currently prevent its availability in New York.

Credit Card Integration: We integrated Stripe to enable credit card transactions for every purchase on our platform. This integration not only processes payments but also triggers several critical actions: minting tokens via our API for purchases, burning tokens for redemptions, and generating shipping labels and tracking numbers through Shippo. One significant challenge was ensuring that Stripe processes transactions and executes smart contract interactions in real-time during live drops. We had to meticulously coordinate the credit card processing and contract interactions to ensure enough tokens were available in a drop, maintaining a seamless user experience.

Secondary Market: Working with Reservoir for secondary market functionality presented its own set of challenges. Reservoir does not allow custom ERC-20 tokens on testnet for any of their APIs, which meant we had to mint the native Base USDC to test bidding, listing, and buying. For testing other platform features, we deployed a forked USDC ERC-20 that allowed us to easily distribute test funds to beta testers. However, we could not use the native USDC to test Reservoir functions, leading us to disable some functionality, such as certain transaction types, other than listing for beta testing.
