Duin.fun is an anonymous NFT marketplace.

You can own nfts using your wallet but without revealing your address or the price you paid for it.

This is done in a non custodial privacy preserving way, we do not store or manage any of your keys, secrets or wallets

Each NFT on duin has an untraceable chain of ownership and transaction history.

The biggest challenge while developing this project was designing the smart contract and the user flow that keeps identity hidden.

I solved it by spending a lot of time, (majority of the time) by working out various scenarios, potential leaks. I had to let go of some of the features for future improvements and redesign the user experience to be worse than a regular nft marketplace interaction in order to fit in all the privacy requirements.

The next challenge is to find users.

The value of the product lies in the privacy and security in design of the trade algorithm.

1. An NFT can be purchased by you on chain using your own wallet without revealing your address.

2. This NFT can then have multiple bids but no bidder knows what other bids have been placed.

3. The TEE used as a part of the process are resistant to attacks, so your address is not revealed even if compromised.

4. The TEEs are designed to be stateless and replacable. Anyone with a valid code can become a part of the network. And in the future all the computation can be replaced by a zk proof.

No other NFT marketplace allows you to own NFTs using your own wallet while hiding your address.

There are various L3 privacy solution, or cross chain platforms which can offer privacy. There can be marketplaces built on top of them.

There are also privacy preserving currencies which can be used to trade anonymously.
