As we look around our daily life, however technical a component can be, what attracts people instantly without second though is its design, the outlook it gives to people. Designers hence play such a crucial yet under-appreciated role in our current world. Inspite of bring out such creativity that even the latest ML models fail to compete with, their work and efforts are quite undervalued as they are not credited for their work as they fall short when coming in competition with developers who ultimately end up hogging all the credit. Our idea aims at resolving this issue starting at the most basic college community level, where such great creative talents are never recognized for the sake of the community's good face.
Dsignx gives credibility to each designer's design by implementing a hash imprint along with the digital signature signed by each authority registered in the site. The authorities can be college communities in college level rising to corporate designer companies in a professional level. Along with ensuring credibility for their work, it helps them built up a solid profile for their professional career that is further supported using the digital signatures and the blockchain imprint.
As this idea arose out of real-life incidents that we see in our colleges where are designer friends fail to gain the recognition while the club they are part of booms in popularity, a lot of challenges had to be encountered as the solution had to be thought out very practically. The major concern was that of the digital signatures. The signatures have to be made non-erasable and possibly embedded with meta data in such a way that if implemented in colleges, it catches the eye of studnts very easily hence providing a trademark for the designers. For this, the best possible method was using their own signatures digitally in a non-erassable way and using suiutable APIs to support the same.
The next challenge was to decide the technology in encryption of the metadata. Using blockchain hashes would mean less accessibility to students in colleges but more reliable in a professional build. Ultimately a subtle combination of blockchain along with a visible digital signature was chosen upon.
Another issue faced was with the integration of the solidity file with the python backend and the React frontend. A lot of dependencies had to be sought out and ultimately, a prototype using dummy data had to be formulated.
