Drone based Automated Water Sampling Module
Making River Health Visible, Verifiable and Public
The problem Drone based Automated Water Sampling Module solves
Water quality monitoring today is manual, slow, and risky, limiting access to river centers and hazardous zones. This leads to delayed results, incomplete data, and missed pollution events.
Our drone and IoT-based system enables safe, automated, and real-time water sampling, providing accurate, geo-tagged data from hard-to-reach locations. It allows faster pollution detection, wider monitoring coverage, and publicly accessible water health data, supporting better governance, research, and environmental protection.
Challenges we ran into
-
THE PROJECT FOLDER COULDN'T ADD KIRO FOLDER IF ANY ISSUE ARRIVES IN THE PROJECT STRUCTURE
-
Collecting multiple water samples without contamination
We used Solenoid valve and peristatic pump to control the water flow in specific bottle using a relay -
Ensuring transparency with the public and that the data is not tampered with
We used Aptos Layer 1 which is a blockchain technology using which SHA-256 algorithm to hash the data permanently so it can not be tampered -
Ensuring the data is not tempered at the testing lab
We're measuring 3 parameters on board whose that is reliable. Using these 3 parameters we can find out a range of 9 related parameters by using machine learning and training it on historic data. This range can be used to check if the data provided by the is accurate
