The problem DocsProtect solves

The project we are creating is aimed at providing a secure and decentralized way of storing important documents on the blockchain. The blockchain technology ensures that the data is tamper-proof and cannot be altered by anyone, while the decentralized storage protocol provided by Ceramic Protocol using lighthouse ensures that the data is distributed across multiple nodes, making it highly resistant to any kind of censorship or attacks.

With this project, users can securely store their personal documents like identity cards, passports, certificates, etc., on the blockchain without having to rely on centralized storage providers. The decentralized nature of the storage protocol also ensures that there is no single point of failure, making the system highly resilient against any kind of cyber-attacks.

To access the stored documents, users will need to authenticate themselves using their private key, which is securely stored on their local device. The use of private keys ensures that only authorized parties can access the stored documents, thereby enhancing the security of the system.

Overall, this project provides a highly secure and decentralized way of storing important documents on the blockchain, with the added benefits of immutability, transparency, and accessibility. It has the potential to revolutionize the way we store and manage our personal documents, providing a more transparent and trustworthy alternative to current centralized solutions.

Challenges we ran into

We had multiple problems starting with a lot of dataverseOS's docs, which were eventually fixed by them at later stage, which stalled our development for quite a while.
We tried really hard by using the amazing community support at the dicord community which helped us further the problem and we were able to fix majority of the issues
