We designed an app to write formatted prescriptions based on dictation from doctor. The app provides facility to sign the prescription and also send to the patient directly on his phone and email id. The method of storing the medical records (EHR) should follow relevant compliance laws like HIPAA.
What is the need? (A problem statement of SIH’2020)
From a doctor point of view-
Can’t I dictate my prescription instead of writing?
Do I need to call the patient or personally message him to give him prescription? Or wait for him to contact me?
How can I remember the cases of all of my patients and the medicines that I recommmeded?
From a patient point of view-
Do I need to go to the doctor to get my prescriptions? Can’t there be some online method?
What if I misplaced the hardcopy prescription?
Do I need to make doctor recall the past prescriptions which he gave when I visited him earlier?
