Challenges I ran into

Developing a Touchless Whiteboard with Air-Writing Technology came with several challenges, ranging from technical limitations to user experience issues. One of the biggest hurdles was gesture recognition accuracy, as variations in hand position, speed, and lighting conditions often led to misinterpretations or missed inputs. To address this, we integrated AI-driven computer vision models to refine gesture detection and minimize errors. Another major challenge was environmental impurities (forb impurity)—background noise, reflections, and fluctuating lighting conditions interfered with accurate gesture tracking. We solved this by implementing adaptive filtering techniques, background subtraction, and edge detection, ensuring only relevant hand movements were processed
