A mental health voice-to-voice realtime calling bot that leverages Gen. AI, RAG, and VoIP for communicating with the user and ML to detect levels of depression for further investigation of the user.
The problem deVanish solves
Mental health is important, but 20% of youth have a mental health condition, with one in 10 young people having experienced a period of major depression.
Globally, an estimated 12 billion working days are lost every year to depression and anxiety at a cost of US$ 1 trillion per year in lost productivity.
In the current situation, in cases of depression, most people either ignore it or take help from friends to feel better because it is easy and free. With our application, handling such bad mental conditions will be super easy; they just have to dial a number and all set.
Sometimes most people don’t prefer to go to a psychiatrist because they think it is not that serious, but it may be a very serious problem sometimes. With our application, by using machine learning, we will detect their level of depression based on the voice communication and further schedule calls or consult with a real psychiatrist.
Challenges we ran into
I and my teammate Sarita planned to start working from 9 Nov. 7:00 AM, but Sarita went to her home in an emergency, and now she will be available from 8:00 PM tonight 🥹. She has expertise in machine learning, and I was supposed to handle the server creation and integration with the VoIP part, so it doesn't matter how hard I work; I will not be able to complete the work. So now we will awaken the whole night and create and train our machine learning model. Until then, I will complete my work and try to find a dataset if I can 😊
