Our project aims on easing the Club activities of a College. It's a new-age social media idea that if implemented properly can lead to great change in college-related activities.
The problem Desi Chats solves
We all know that it is not easy to manage a lot of WhatsApp groups and also it is not easy to save the phone numbers of every other member of a WhatsApp group. So we present this new app...If you join a group then you will be able to see every other group member's status, and stories, can chat with them, can VIDEO CALL, simple call, share pictures, videos, and a lot that you can do on other apps but here we have much more and are working on it.
This aims on bringing a community much closer than Whatsapp, and this app is a COMBINATION of Facebook, Whatsapp, Instagram, and a lot.
Eg. - If a person can't message someone at the midnight to wish him a happy birthday, then he can schedule the status for midnight. Location Sharing is also there, and we will expand it to many other local languages too.
Challenges we ran into
First of all, we ran into a major problem at the time of top verification. We pondered on the many articles but later somehow added sha and sha256 fingerprints to firebase and initialized the app.
We ran into a problem with the Video Call feature. Basically, this feature was a problem in itself.
Also, we faced challenges in making the Database and the database related activities fast.
